We are “followers” not “believers”

The Texts (33–39)

Father, my desire is twofold: 1) to understand the wonderful news of Jesus according to Jesus himself, and 2) understand how it should be proclaimed in the CV by Passion Church. Lord, give me wisdom!

Jesus and the gospel are inseparable. Help me know him more!

Paul is explaining his understanding of the gospel of Jesus to his audience. Help me to do the same. Not the same nuances as Paul, but the same mission.

The gospel was presented differently to Jews than it was in Rome. And it will be once again in the CV. It will always be the story and teachings of Jesus, but contextualized for maximum impact to that specific audience.

“The gospel’s substance determines the substance of the Christian life.” (p. 38)

Help all of us at Passion Church to actually live it out.
