Serve the Coachella Valley

You do not have to believe everything before you can help someone.

Passion Church at Palm Springs serves because every person is made in the image of God.

We believe following Jesus leads us to love our neighbors in practical ways, especially children, families, and people walking through difficult seasons.

Faith that shows up

At Passion Church, serving is not about having everything figured out. It is about taking one step toward someone else with compassion, humility, and love.

We serve our city because Jesus sees people, loves people, and moves toward people. We want to do the same.

A loving home for vulnerable children

John and Samantha Burns moved to the Coachella Valley in April 2024 to help launch Passion Church and partner with Olive Crest.

Through Olive Crest’s Family Circle, they open their home to children and families in crisis. Since June, they have welcomed children ranging from 4 months old to 15 years old, with stays ranging from one night to more than a month.

Their story reminds us that serving does not have to be complicated to be powerful. Sometimes love looks like a safe home, a warm meal, a gift card, a clean room, or a church family ready to step in when a family says yes.

Serving with Olive Crest

One of the ways we serve the Coachella Valley is through our partnership with Olive Crest, an organization that strengthens children and families in crisis.

Passion Church helps support foster and host families through practical projects, meal support, gift cards, encouragement, and serve days that make it easier for families to say yes when a child needs care.

  • Meals for foster and host families

  • Gift cards and household support

  • Serve projects for children and families

  • Encouragement for host families

  • Practical help when placements happen quickly

Upcoming Serve Projects

Serve Projects are simple, practical ways to make a difference in our community. Some happen after Worship. Some happen during the week. Some are as simple as bringing supplies, writing cards, packing meals, or showing up for a few hours.

Freezer Meal Serve Project

Helping Olive Crest foster families be ready when a child arrives.

Volunteers will help prepare simple freezer meals for families to use when they receive a placement.

You can make a difference here.

Whether you are new to church, coming back to faith, or ready for a next step, there is a place for you to serve.

You do not have to believe everything before you can help someone.
