Gateway, Part 1: Open the Door
Monday, May 4
Proverbs 3.5-6
Trusting God does not mean you know every detail. It means you let him lead before you understand the whole road. God promises to make the path straight when we stop leaning only on ourselves.
Yesterday, we talked about gateway moments. Every gateway comes with a question. What am I carrying into what’s next?
Today, name one thing you are trying to figure out on your own. Then ask God to lead you one step at a time.
🌿 God, I trust you with what I cannot see. Lead me into what is next. Help me stop carrying what belongs in your hands.

Psalm 55.22
God does not ask you to pretend your life is light. He invites you to place your burdens on him. That means the weight you carry matters to him.
This week’s message reminded us that we were never meant to carry everything. When we put ourselves at the center, life gets heavy fast.
Today, pay attention to the weight you feel. Do not ignore it. Bring it honestly to God.
🧭 God, I give you what feels too heavy for me. Thank you for caring about my life. Teach me to release what I cannot hold.
Wednesday, May 6
Hebrews 12.1-2
The writer of Hebrews tells us to lay aside every weight. Some things are not evil, but they are still too heavy to carry forward. The goal is to keep our eyes on Jesus.
A gateway moment forces us to ask what still belongs. Not everything from the last season fits the next one.
Today, ask God what weight needs to come off your shoulders. Then take one small step toward letting it go.
🎒 Jesus, help me see what is slowing me down. Give me courage to release it. Keep my eyes fixed on you.
Thursday, May 7
Psalm 16.8-9
David says he keeps the Lord always before him. That is center language. When God is in front of him, he is not shaken.
This is what we meant on Sunday by putting God at the center. The center determines who carries the weight. When God becomes the center, your life does not have to revolve around pressure.
Today, pause before your next decision. Ask, “Is God at the center of this?”
🪨 God, be the center of my life today. Steady me when I feel pulled in every direction. Help me live from trust instead of pressure.
Friday, May 8
Isaiah 43.18-19
God tells his people not to stay trapped in former things. He is doing something new. They still have a past, but their past does not get the final word.
Gateway moments can stir up regret. We remember mistakes, missed chances, and things we wish we could undo. But God still leads us forward.
Today, do not let regret decide your next step. Let God’s mercy speak louder.
🌅 God, thank you for making a way forward. Help me stop living stuck in yesterday. Give me faith for what you are doing now.
Saturday, May 9
1 Peter 5.7
Peter says to cast all your cares on God because he cares for you. That is not just a command. It is an invitation into relationship.
Sunday’s message was not about trying harder to be spiritual. It was about trusting the Father who already knows what we need. God is not distant from your pressure.
Today, tell God one real care you have been carrying. Do not polish it. Just bring it.
🕯️ Father, thank you for caring for me. I bring you my worry without pretending. Help me receive your love today.
Sunday, May 10
Colossians 1.17
Paul says Jesus holds all things together. That means the center of life is not you. It is Jesus. He is strong enough to hold what you cannot.
This is the good news as we step into what’s next. You do not have to carry everything. You can step forward lighter because Jesus is not weak, distant, or unsure.
Today, begin the day by re-centering your life on him. Let him hold the center.
🌊 Jesus, hold my life together today. Take the center again. Help me step into what is next lighter and freer.
