Reclaiming the Coachella Valley

Luke 1:39–80

v79 is my prayer for the Coachella Valley.

• I want "the word from heaven" to come to everyone who lives here. This is the scope of our reach over the next decade. 500,000.

• I want the "dazzling light" of the wonderful news of Jesus to shine in the desert. This is a place filled with so much darkness. False religion, pagan idolatry, naturalism, false views of Christianity. Brokenness, hurt, loneliness, addiction, sexual immorality, gambling, materialism, wasted lives & resources, purposelessness.

And we live near a "deep, dark shadow." I believe there is a dark presence living & reigning in the shadow of Mt. San Jacinto. And this being has impact & influence over the entire valley, strongest in Palm Springs. This is an ancient evil.

But we are reclaiming this valley, starting right here in PS.

The dazzling light is bursting forth. Revival is beginning. Lives are being transformed through his forgiveness, freedom, & hope.

• I want God to "illuminate the path that leads to the way of peace."

Jesus. The Light will shine in the darkness & the darkness shall not be able to stop it.

Father, build your kingdom here!

And Lord, I want to be your mouthpiece in your revival. Strengthen me with your Holy Spirit. Grow my love for you. I choose to live for you. For the next 40 years, I want to see you work in power!

Fill Jess with your power & presence. Fill our home. Fill the kiddos. Help me raise them up as instruments in your hand.
