God, Fill Our Churches With Sinners

"Jesus was not defiled in touching the leper; rather, the leper was healed." (v13–14)

The same thing happens spiritually in v30–32.

"Why would you defile yourselves by eating and drinking with tax collectors and sinners? Doesn't Jesus know it's wrong to do that?"

This is exactly what we've been told.

It's wrong to drink with sinners.

It's wrong to eat with gay people.

It's wrong to fill a church with those who are far from God.

Father, fill our churches with

"those who know they are sinners" (v32).

Flood them!

Bring them all!

Keep us from those who

"say, 'The old way is better' and refuse to taste what Jesus is bringing"

to the Coachella Valley.

We don't need them on our side.

We stand with El Shaddai.

"If you were willing you could completely find us" (v12)

It's nothing for the God who owns all the cattle on all the hills.

You told the leper:

"Of course I am willing to heal you, and now you will be healed." (v13)

Father, I know you can.

I know you're willing.

I know we will see it.

I believe.

Lord, we want to see it soon.

Show up and show off!

"And they will all praise God, remarking over and over, 'Incredible! What an unbelievable miracle we've seen!'" (v26)

God, this is what I want.

I want hundreds, thousands cheering your name for what you are going to do through Passion Church.

"Jesus often slipped away and went into the wilderness to pray." (v16)

I love my time alone with you.

I long for it.

I miss it when I miss it.

I want more of you.

I want to stay in the cloud with you.

I want to be all yours.

"And then the power of the Lord God surged through him to do amazing things." (v17)

Father, do the miraculous.

Do the impossible.

Send a surge of your power through me.

Through Passion Church.

Oh God, reach those who are far from you.

Bring transformation.

Bring revival.

Bring funding.

Build your churches.

Fill them with sinners.

The hurting.

The broken.

The lost.

The weary.

Show CV and beyond who you really are.

Protect us from religious opposition and spiritual warfare.

Protect my family.

Protect our heart.

Light up the darkness, O God of revival!
