Still Welcome… Because Jesus Is Alive

Monday, April 6

John 11.25–26

Jesus makes a bold statement here. He says he is the resurrection and the life. Not just someone who brings life, but life itself. He is telling people that life with God is not something far away or future only. It starts now through him.

This connects to what we talked about Sunday. Jesus is alive. That changes everything. If he is alive, then hope is not dead. Your story is not stuck. There is more happening than what you can see right now.

Today, take a moment to think about where you feel stuck or discouraged. Bring that to Jesus. Talk to him honestly. Ask him to bring life into that place.

🙏 Jesus, thank you that you are alive and that you bring life into my story. Help me trust you in the places that feel stuck or uncertain. I want to walk with you today. Amen.

John 10.27

Jesus describes following him like a relationship. He says his sheep hear his voice and follow him. This is not about rules first. It is about connection. Listening, recognizing, and responding.

If Jesus is alive, then following him is not about following a memory. It is about following a living person. He is still speaking. He is still leading. The question is not whether he is speaking. The question is whether we are listening.

Today, slow down for a few minutes. Ask, “Jesus, what are you saying to me today?” Pay attention to what comes to mind. Take one simple step in that direction.

🙏 Jesus, I want to hear your voice and follow you. Help me slow down and pay attention to what you are saying. Give me the courage to take a step when you lead me. Amen.

Luke 9.23

Jesus invites people to follow him in a real and daily way. He talks about taking up your cross and following him. This is not about pressure. It is about surrender. Letting go of control and trusting him with your life.

Because Jesus is alive, following him is worth it. You are not giving your life to something uncertain. You are trusting someone who has already overcome death. That changes how we see everything.

Today, ask yourself, “What am I holding onto that I need to trust Jesus with?” It might be control, fear, or a decision. Take one step of surrender today.

🙏 Jesus, I want to follow you with my whole life. Help me release control and trust you more. Lead me and give me peace as I take my next step. Amen.

Acts 2.38

After the resurrection, people begin responding to Jesus in real ways. They turn toward him, are baptized, and begin a new life. This is not about being perfect. It is about starting fresh with him.

This connects to Sunday. You are still welcome. No matter your past or where you have been, Jesus invites you into something new. The resurrection means new beginnings are possible.

Today, think about your next step. Maybe it is saying yes to Jesus for the first time. Maybe it is getting baptized. Maybe it is coming back to church. Take that step.

🙏 Jesus, thank you that I am still welcome. Help me respond to you and take my next step. I trust you with my life and my future. Amen.

Romans 6.4

This verse talks about new life. Because of Jesus, we are not just forgiven. We are made new. We get to walk in a different kind of life.

The resurrection is not just something we believe. It is something we live. If Jesus is alive, then your life can actually change. Your patterns, your mindset, your direction can all begin to shift.

Today, choose one small way to live differently. It might be how you respond to someone, how you handle stress, or how you think about yourself. Let this be a step into new life.

🙏 Jesus, thank you for new life. Help me live differently today because of you. Change my heart and guide my steps. Amen.

Colossians 2.6

Paul encourages people to continue the same way they started. If you said yes to Jesus, keep walking with him. Faith is not just a moment. It is a relationship that grows over time.

Sunday was a moment for many people. But following Jesus is a journey. You do not have to figure everything out today. Just keep taking steps with him.

Today, think about one simple rhythm you can start. Maybe it is prayer in the morning or reading a verse each day. Keep it simple and consistent.

🙏 Jesus, help me keep walking with you. Show me how to build a real relationship with you day by day. I want to grow closer to you. Amen.

2 Corinthians 5.17

This verse reminds us that anyone in Christ is a new creation. The old is gone and the new has come. This is the result of the resurrection. Jesus brings real transformation.

This is what we celebrate today. Not just that Jesus is alive, but that he is making all things new. Including you.

As you come to worship today, come expectant. God is still moving. He is still welcoming people. He is still changing lives.

🙏 Jesus, thank you that you are making me new. Help me trust what you are doing in my life. I come to you today ready to worship and follow you. Amen.
