God Has A Name
Monday, June 15
Exodus 3.13-15
When Moses asked God for his name, God answered.
That may not seem unusual at first, but it is remarkable. The Creator of heaven and earth did not remain anonymous. He revealed himself. He invited Moses to know him personally.
Throughout Scripture, names carry meaning. They reveal character, identity, and relationship. By sharing his name, God was not simply giving Moses information. He was opening the door to relationship.
God still desires to be known today. He is not distant or hiding. He invites us to seek him and discover who he really is.
🏔️ Jesus, thank you for making yourself known. Help me move beyond assumptions and know you more personally.

Psalm 9.10
"Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you."
Trust grows through relationship.
The more we know someone's character, the easier it becomes to trust them. The same is true with God. Trust is not built merely through information. It grows through experience, conversation, and walking with him over time.
Many of our fears come from imagining God to be someone he is not. As we come to know him more deeply, trust begins to replace fear.
Today, consider where you find it difficult to trust God. Bring that honestly before him.
🌱 Jesus, help me trust your character even when I do not understand your plans.

John 10.14-15
"I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me."
Christianity is not primarily about religion. It is about relationship.
Jesus describes his followers as people who know him and are known by him. This is deeply personal language. The goal is not simply learning truths about God. The goal is knowing the God who loves us.
There is comfort in being fully known by someone who loves us completely.
Today, spend a few moments reflecting on the fact that God knows you better than anyone else and still invites you into relationship.
🐑 Jesus, thank you for knowing me completely and loving me fully.

Exodus 33.11
"The Lord would speak to Moses face to face, as one speaks to a friend."
What an incredible description.
Moses was not perfect. He had doubts, fears, frustrations, and failures. Yet God welcomed him into friendship.
Prayer was not a performance for Moses. It was a conversation. He spoke honestly. He listened carefully. He kept coming back.
God invites us into that same kind of relationship today.
What would happen if you approached prayer more like a conversation and less like a religious exercise?
☕ Jesus, teach me to speak with you honestly and listen for your voice.

Philippians 4.6-7
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God."
God welcomes our requests.
Sometimes we assume we should only bring "spiritual" things to God. But Scripture paints a different picture. God invites us to bring everything to him.
Our worries.
Our hopes.
Our questions.
Our needs.
Prayer reminds us that we are not carrying life alone.
Today, bring one specific concern to God and leave it with him.
🕊️ Jesus, help me trust you with the things that weigh most heavily on my heart.

James 5.16
"The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective."
Prayer matters.
Not because of special words.
Not because of perfect faith.
Not because we know exactly how everything works.
Prayer matters because God responds.
Throughout Scripture we see people bringing their needs, questions, and requests to God, and God engaging with them in relationship.
Never underestimate what God may do through a simple, honest prayer.
🔥 Jesus, strengthen my faith and remind me that my prayers matter.

Matthew 7.7-11
"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you."
Jesus describes God as a loving Father who welcomes his children.
That is the invitation of this week's message.
The God who revealed his name is not looking for distant admirers. He is inviting people into relationship.
So keep asking.
Keep seeking.
Keep knocking.
Keep praying.
The God who wants a relationship with you is still listening.
❤️ Jesus, thank you for inviting me into relationship. Help me continue seeking you with honesty, trust, and expectation.
