You Were Made to Make a Difference in Someone Else’s Life
Day 1 – Monday
Scripture: Ecclesiastes 3.11
In Ecclesiastes, the writer reflects on life and recognizes something deeper going on beneath everyday experience. He says that God has placed eternity in the human heart. That means the longing people feel for more is not random. It is something God designed.
Sunday’s message reminded us that this longing is not just something we experience. It is something others around us are feeling too. The same question that lives in you lives in them. Today, pay attention to the people in your life. Who might be carrying that quiet sense that there has to be more?
🙏 God, help me see the people around me the way you do.
Day 2 – Tuesday
Scripture: Luke 15.4
Jesus tells a story about a shepherd who leaves ninety-nine sheep to go after one that wandered. The focus of the story is not the sheep’s failure, but the shepherd’s pursuit. It reveals a God who actively moves toward people who are far from him.
Sunday’s message reminded us that this story is not just about God’s heart. It is also about our role. We were the one God came after, and now we get to join him in reaching others. Today, ask God to bring one person to mind who you can move toward this week.
🐑 Jesus, help me reflect your heart for people who are far from you.
Day 3 – Wednesday
Scripture: Matthew 5.14
Jesus tells his followers that they are the light of the world. Light is meant to be seen. It is not hidden or kept to itself. It naturally shines outward and affects the space around it.
Sunday’s message reminded us that following Jesus does not stop with us. The life we have received is meant to be shared. Today, consider one simple way you can let your faith be visible through a conversation, an invitation, or an act of care.
💡 Jesus, help my life point others toward you.
Day 4 – Thursday
Scripture: 2 Corinthians 5.20
Paul describes believers as ambassadors for Christ. An ambassador represents someone else and carries their message into the world. This means that God chooses to work through ordinary people to reach others.
Sunday’s message reminded us that you are not in your relationships by accident. God has placed you in specific spaces with specific people for a reason. Today, take a step of courage and initiate something. Send a text, start a conversation, or extend an invitation.
📩 God, give me courage to represent you in my everyday life.
Day 5 – Friday
Scripture: Romans 10.14
Paul asks how people can believe in Jesus if they have never heard about him. This highlights the importance of simple, relational moments where people are invited to hear and respond.
Sunday’s message reminded us that the win is not having all the answers. The win is opening a door. An invitation can be the first step in someone’s journey. Today, think of one person you can invite to sit with you at church.
📱 Jesus, help me take a simple step to invite someone this week.
Day 6 – Saturday
Scripture: Colossians 3.17
Paul encourages believers to do everything in the name of Jesus. This includes everyday interactions, not just big spiritual moments. Ordinary actions can carry deep meaning when they are done with intention.
Sunday’s message reminded us that making a difference often starts small. A conversation, a kind word, or an invitation can have a lasting impact. Today, look for a simple opportunity to care for someone or reach out.
🤝 God, use the small things I do to make a difference in someone’s life.
Day 7 – Sunday
Scripture: Luke 15.6
In the story of the lost sheep, the shepherd celebrates when the sheep is found. The moment of someone being brought back is not quiet or small. It is worth celebrating.
Sunday’s message reminded us that every person matters deeply to God. As you gather today, remember that someone’s life could be changed by a simple invitation. You were made to make a difference in someone else’s life.
🎉 Jesus, use me to help someone experience your love and life.
